The future location of the cultural and creative industries at the Plantage should not only be secured for the long term, but also designed in such a way that these players can show themselves more strongly in the public space and have an impact in it. The cultural and creative industries are a growth sector that, with its diverse and interactive networks, plays a special role for Potsdam as a place of science and innovative business. Here, it is important to provide established as well as start-ups, associations and individuals with space and opportunities for interactive development. The objective for the development of the location was developed in a scenario workshop in 2017/2018. Representatives of Potsdam’s cultural and creative industries, the city administration and political bodies, as well as Potsdam’s redevelopment agency discussed and developed a joint target scenario: Kreativ Quartier³.
